Taste of Hudson
This year marks the 6th anniversary of Taste of Hudson, the two-day, downtown-wide outdoor culinary, entertainment and lifestyle festival. Held Labor Day weekend, the event spans three downtown greens and features all of the perennial favorites including food from the best Hudson-area restaurants, an outdoor beer and wine garden, more than 80 bands on seven stages, children's activities, artists and much more. Admission is free; food selections are priced under $6. The event runs Sunday from 12 – 8 p.m. and Monday from 11 – 6 p.m. Taste of Hudson is a Rotary Clocktower Event and benefits Safe Kids Coalition of Summit County as well as other local charities. Western Reserve Antiques Festival
Western Reserve Academy of Hudson Ohio opens its doors for its 29th Annual Labor Day Antiques Festival on Monday, September 6, 2010. Featured premier dealers welcome all shoppers and collectors from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (general admission $8.00; under 18 admitted free) with a premier showing beginning at 8:30 am. Hudson 5K Chili Challenge
This community event provides exercise and fun for all ages! Taking place on Village Way in First & Main from 6:30 – 10 p.m., the event kicks off with a 5K run and 1 mile fun run for the kids. Afterwards, enjoy children's activities, live music, a beer garden, and local restaurants competing for the title of "Hudson's Best Chili". Non-runners can purchase tickets the evening of the event; ticket booklets range from $15 – $50 and include food and beverages. Proceeds benefit Pawsibilities - the Humane Society of Greater Akron, and the Hudson Community Playground fund. For more information and to register for the run, visit www.hudson5k.com.
