Case Barlow Farm Fall Harvest Fest
The annual Case Barlow Farm Fall Harvest Fest will be held from 1 – 5 p.m. at the farm located at 1931 Barlow Road. Guests will enjoy old-fashioned games such as sack races, bobbing for apples, a cakewalk, horseshoes and checkers. Also on hand will be crafts, live entertainment, pumpkin sales, hay wagon rides, pony rides and a petting farm. Admission is $3 per child and $5 per adult and includes all activities. An Evening with Andrew "Sandy" Meldrum
Many notable writers have grown up in Hudson, including Andrew "Sandy" Meldrum. Please consider this invitation to hear this noted journalist/author talk about his years in Hudson, and the importance of maintaining its heritage.
Mr. Meldrum, who grew up in Hudson, has spent the past 35 years as a journalist throughout the world, including 27 years as a foreign correspondent in Zimbabwe and South Africa. He currently works in Boston and lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Mr. Meldrum will be speaking on his years in Hudson, including his participation on the Comprehensive Plan in the 1970's while he was the Editor at the then Hudson Times. He will also be signing his book, "Where We Have Hope", after his talk. Donations of $50.00 ($35.00 tax deductible) per person for the event will be donated to the Priscilla Graham Fund, established in 2008 to create grants in the study of the architectural history of the Connecticut Western Reserve, now N.E Ohio.

Scarecrow Ball
On Saturday, October 24th, The 1st Annual Scarecrow Ball will take place to benefit the Hudson in Bloom Fund! The Scarecrow Ball will take place at the Happy Days Lodge on Rte. 303 in Peninsula. All are welcome to come and support Hudson in Bloom for this terrific event. The money raised through this event will fund the mural project for the downtown Hudson railroad overpasses. Tickets are $40 ($75 per couple), and tables of eight are available – buy 7, get one free. Dinner, live music, dancing, raffle, silent auction, and more. Cash bar. Costumes are encouraged! Prizes will be awarded for best "scarecrows". A fun "dress down" evening for adults over 21.
